You must make your applications for these “general” postgraduate scholarships directly to your employer.
To find out if you might be eligible and what the conditions of the scholarships are, read the 2014 Scholarship guidelines, these will be available in August/September. Each Health Service has a different process for scholarship allocation so please contact your Education officer or Director of Nursing to find out the next steps for you then contact your Education officer or Director of Nursing to find out the next steps for you.
Eligible public health services/rural consortia will received their scholarship quota from NMP in October 2013, their application processes will commence after this time.
Health services are responsible for the selecting the successful candidate for the scholarships and in what areas of practice this is based on local or sector wide workforce shortages, projected demand in areas of clinical practice, or to align with workforce requirements for capital projects currently occurring or planned.
If you are working in a rural health service, the scholarships are managed through a regional scholarship process, you will need to contact your local Director of Nursing or education team regarding applications.
