If you are working in a Victorian public health service, you may be eligible for a scholarship to support you to do postgraduate study. Postgraduate Nursing and Midwifery Scholarships are targeted to areas of clinical practice that your employer determines as important to their service.
If you working in rural or regional health service the scholarship process will be determined by a consortium of the Directors of Nursing/Midwifery in your region.
Rural Midwifery Postgraduate Scholarships are administered in conjunction with the Postgraduate Scholarship Program for 2013-14. The rural education consortia’s will be provided with additional quota of rural midwifery postgraduate scholarships on 11 October 2013.
The rural midwifery scholarship funding is to support postgraduate midwifery students in rural public health services that provide maternity services and have fewer than 600 total birth separations per annum.
How do you apply?
You must make your applications for these postgraduate scholarships directly to your employer.
To find out eligibility and scholarship conditions, read the 2014 Scholarship guidelines. Contact your education team or Director of Nursing/Midwifery to find out how and when to make an application.
