Thank you to all presenters, stakeholders and nurses who attended the recent Division 2 Directions Forum in Melbourne.
Over a 170 people, including nurses from across Victoria, representatives from health services, TAFE institutes, Universities, professional and industrial organisations, and representatives from Department of Human Services Victoria as well as officers from Tasmania, NSW and South Australian Government departments attended the day, making it enormously successful.
The forum was a valuable opportunity to share the outcomes and learnings from the Registered Nurse Division 2 Enhanced Scope of Practice (ESOP) suite of projects, which explored the development of practice and implementation of sustainable roles for division 2 nurses in Victorian public health services.
Adjunct Professor Belinda Moyes, Director Nurse Policy Branch and Principal Nurse Advisor, hosted the day and delivered two presentations, which provided the context and background for the day, outlining the key tenets and features of the Department’s Division 2 Strategy.
The forum also included presentations from the ESOP project teams as well as the President of the Nurses Board of Victoria and the Curriculum Maintenance Manager Swinburne University of Technology and the ANF.
Stakeholders and participants engaged in dialogue with presenters via a series of panels convened throughout the day. This facilitated exchange of views and engagement with some of the key issues from a range of perspectives on future directions for division 2 nurses’ roles and practice.
The presenters have agreed to their contact details and presentations being available. You can access a copy here.
