National Health Priority Action Council (NHPAC)The National Health Priority Action Council was established as a sub-committee of the Australian Health Ministers' Advisory Council (AHMAC) to oversee the national health priority area (NHPA) initiative designed to improve the management of chronic disease in Australia. As steward of the NHPA initiative, NHPAC's role is to identify, advocate, and facilitate action across the continuum of care in the NHPAs (including prevention, detection, management, rehabilitation and palliation) and to drive improvements in health services to achieve better outcomes in these NHPAs, including for disadvantaged groups.
