Health Technology Program

The Health Technology Program comprises four components, each of which has a specific role and function:

Health Technology Program Role
New Technology Program Program for new technology investment into Victoria's public hospital sector, also covers field evaluation when relevant.
Victorian Policy Advisory Committee on Technology (VPACT) Independent expert advisory committee providing recommendations to the department around new health technology identification, prioritisation, investment, implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
Health Policy Advisory Committee on Technology (HealthPACT) National horizon scanning/early warning system for new and emerging health technologies.
Nationally Funded Centres (NFC) Program National program supporting access to certain high cost low volume procedures.
