Health Technology Program
The Health Technology Program comprises four components, each of which has a specific role and function:

| New Technology Program | Program for new technology investment into Victoria's public hospital sector, also covers field evaluation when relevant. |
| Victorian Policy Advisory Committee on Technology (VPACT) | Independent expert advisory committee providing recommendations to the department around new health technology identification, prioritisation, investment, implementation, monitoring and evaluation. |
| Health Policy Advisory Committee on Technology (HealthPACT) | National horizon scanning/early warning system for new and emerging health technologies. |
| Nationally Funded Centres (NFC) Program | National program supporting access to certain high cost low volume procedures. |
For the purpose of this program, a 'health technology' is defined as:
- a prosthesis
- an implantable device
- a diagnostic test
- a medical procedure
- a surgical procedure
- a high cost pharmaceutical
