Premier's Award for Health and Medical Research

Applications are now open for the 2012 Premier's Award for Health and Medical Research.
The Premier’s Award is presented annually by the Victorian Government and the Australian Society for Medical Research to an outstanding Victorian health or medical research scholar.
The award is open to PhD students or recently completed postgraduates whose research has or is being undertaken in a Victorian research institution in any field of health or medical research.
The award program provides $70,000 in prize money – with $16,000 presented to the winner and $8,000 to each of the three commendees.
The $30,000 Jack and Robert Smorgon Families Award is also presented to a research institute associated with the work of the Premier’s Award winner.
Applications close Wednesday 21 March 2012.
