NEPT licence holders may be accredited to operate a service that provides for staff and vehicles to attend at public events to provide, if a need arises, stand-by services to participants in the event who suffer unanticipated injury or illness (know as “stand-by service accreditation”). Stand-by services generally involve the provision of first aid care to event participants if required. NEPT licence holders must not transport emergency patients to hospital.
