Report on the Survey of Special Care Nursery Requirements
October 2000

Whilst noting the collaboration that existed between the levels of neonatal nurseries, the 1998 Report on Victorian Neonatal Care Services recommended that increased collaboration could be achieved through the development of professional links between each special care nursery (SCN) and a Level 3 unit. To assist in developing strategies to enhance neonatal professional links, a survey was undertaken in July 2000 to identify the professional requirements of staff working in Level 2 SCNs and how these needs could be met by the Level 3 units.
