Mental health triage scale training

The Department of Health engaged LearnPRN to provide ‘train the trainer’ sessions in mid-July 2010 to assist mental health service providers to implement the Mental health triage scale (May 2010) (PDF file 74KB)

A wide range of senior triage clinicians and clinical educators participated in the program.

The Statewide mental health triage scale - Train the trainer manual (July 2010) developed by LearnPRN provides a brief introduction to the scale, its application and key issues, workplace ‘training the trainer’ skills, scenario-based activities to practise applying the scale, and activities to enable clinical educators to identify barriers to implementing the scale in their workplace and strategies to address these challenges.
