Mental Health Reform in VictoriaProtecting the mental health and wellbeing of all Victorians and delivering timely, effective treatment and support to those affected by mental illness is a clear priority for the Coalition Government. Further information on the Government’s plan will be available shortly. Psychiatric Disability Rehabilitation Support Services ReformPsychiatric Disability Rehabilitation and Support Services Reform Framework Consultation Paper After significant analysis and consultation the Victorian Government has released a consultation paper proposing major reform to enhance the delivery of Psychiatric Disability Rehabilitation and Support Services (PDRSS). The paper provides the framework to support the staged reform and redevelopment of the way PDRSS are provided to people with severe mental illness and psychiatric disability in Victoria. We are seeking your views to refine the reform framework and inform its implementation. To assist you with your response a series of questions have been posed in the paper. These questions are not intended to limit the scope of feedback and should be used as a guide only. We want to encourage broad consultation with stakeholders. Written submissions should be emailed to mhreformstrategy@health.vic.gov.au or posted to: Mental Health Reform Strategy The closing date for written submissions is 22 June 2012.
