Mental Health and Drugs Fellowship Grants 2008-09

Overview

The Mental Health and Drugs Fellowship Program aims to provide an opportunity to early and mid-career researchers working in the public mental health and drug and alcohol sectors. Each year the fellowship grants program offers four grants of $50,000 each. The program is open to staff from clinical mental health services, the psychiatric disability rehabilitation and support services, mental health consumer and carer groups and drug and alcohol services.

Eligibility

Grant applicants must be able to meet criteria in order to be eligible for a research grant. This criteria includes:

  • Research conducted in Victoria
  • Senior research supervisor
  • Organizational support
  • Ethics committee approval
  • Employed in the public service sector
  • Research to be completed in 12 months
  • Defined outcomes for research
  • Early or mid career researcher

Selection Process

The following criteria will form the basis of the selection process to be undertaken by a panel:

  • Relevance
  • Informed by consumer perspective
  • Methodology
  • Support
  • Dissemination

To apply for a Mental Health and Drugs Fellowship Grant please read the attached guidelines and complete the application form.
