Cross-Border Arrangements with South Australia (SA)A civil ministerial agreement between Victoria and South Australia commenced operation on 4 June 2009. The agreement applies to Victorian and South Australian involuntary patients (as defined) and does not cover forensic or security patients. It provides for the involuntary treatment of the resident of one State in the other (refer to Part 6), the planned transfer of involuntary in-patients (Part 7) and the apprehension and return of involuntary patients who are absent without leave in the other State (Part 8) Interstate Guidelines will be prepared to support the operation of the Civil Agreement (Part 5) .
