How Case Management Can Help You <

How Can I Make a Complaint?

If you are unhappy with the service you are receiving and want to make a complaint, then the following process will help you.

It is important that you discuss the situation with your case manager so that the matter can be dealt with quickly.

If you need help to make your complaint you can ask someone you trust to assist you. This might be a friend, family member or your case manager.

If the situation is not settled at this level, you can put your complaint in writing and send it to the Director of Clinical Services for public mental health services in your area. You can get some assistance with this if you need it.

If the complaint is still not settled to your satisfaction, you can pursue other options such as the Chief Psychiatrist, a Community Visitor, the Mental Health Legal Service, the Public Advocate or the Health Services Commissioner. Information about these options and others can be found at the back of this guide.
