How Case Management Can Help You
<
Whom Do I Speak With?
At the community mental health centre, your request will be
listened to by the receptionist and you will have the opportunity
to talk with the duty worker.
Some examples of the reasons people give for coming to community
mental health services are:
'I feel confused and frightened. I don't know what is happening
to me. I'm not thinking clearly like I used to.'
'My family and the local doctor think I'm behaving strangely,
but I think I'm fine. I'm really busy and active.'
'Since my husband died in a car accident last year, I've
been very low. I don't think life is worth living anymore.'
'I can't seem to do anything anymore, it is all too much
effort. Sometimes I can hear voices telling me to do things
when nobody is there.' |
