ProjectsNursing Workforce Issues Working GroupCouncil’s strong interest in workforce innovation has been demonstrated through its partnering with central and service agencies on various projects and initiatives. In its commitment to accelerating progress in this area, Council formed a subcommittee designed to focus on Nursing Issues. The Nursing Issues Working Group's first task is to develop strategies to implement the Division 1 / Division 2 workforce percentages achieved with the recent EBA. The success of this work will build a platform for other nursing workforce improvements. Models articulated by the Working Group will be appropriate to local needs and cognisant of gaining both quality and efficiency gains. The Working Group’s first meeting was on 11 April 2008 and focused on refining the Terms of Reference and defining a framework to map the way forward. The Group will continue to meet on a bi-monthly basis.
