Round 1, 2001 – 2002 Good Practice ProgramPage content: Introduction | Evaluation | Resources IntroductionThe 2001 - 2002 program supported individual municipalities, or groups of municipalities. Sixteen projects covering 26 municipalities were funded. The projects provided a wide range of initiatives that emphasised integrated planning processes, fostered community involvement and ownership of health plans, and demonstrated the value of such approaches in addressing specific priority health issues. All projects were encouraged to undertake monitoring, review and evaluation activities that enhanced the quality of planning. In October 2003, Round 1 participants had the opportunity to present their projects at the Integrating Health in Local Government: Municipal Public Health Planning State Conference . A number of tools were developed and are available on this website. (See summary table in resources below). EvaluationThe Centre for Health Program Evaluation conducted the evaluation of the Good Practice Program Round 1 and Round 2. Their evaluation framework included a program of training and support for each individual project, and a review of the Good Practice Program overall. Go to the evaluation. Resources
