Aboriginal Health National Partnership
Australian Governments have committed $1.57 billion over four years under the National Partnership Agreement on Closing the Gap in Indigenous Health Outcomes - referred to as the Aboriginal Health National Partnership (the Partnership).
The Aboriginal Health National Partnership is centred on the following five priority reform areas:
- Tackling smoking
- Primary health care services that can deliver
- Fixing the gaps and improving the patient journey
- Healthy transition to adulthood
- Making Indigenous health everyone's business.
State-wide Implementation Plan

Communications Strategy
The Koori Human Services Branch has developed a communications strategy to support the work being undertaken in regard to the Partnership.
The communications strategy includes a wide range of activities to support the flow of information to Department of Human Services regions and stakeholders including the development of a website, fact sheets, information kits, database of key contacts and media opportunities.
Information will be regularly updated and distributed to key stakeholders involved with the Partnership.

The Victorian Advisory Council on Koori Health
The Victorian Advisory Council on Koori Health (VACKH) is a tripartite forum between the Victorian Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation, the Victorian Government Department of Human Services and the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing. The principal focus of VACKH is to improve the effectiveness of the health care system for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in Victoria.
