Dr Helen Bevan OBE
Chief of Service Transformation, NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement
The Institute supports 1.3 million staff of the English National Health Service to accelerate the delivery of world-class health and healthcare by encouraging innovation and developing capability at the frontline of patient care.
Over the past 15 years Helen has led change initiatives at local and national level which have helped create improvements for millions of patients. In 2008, the sixtieth anniversary of the NHS, Helen was named as one of the 60 most influential individuals in the history of the NHS. |

Mr Peter Fitzgerald
Director Health Strategy, Department of Human Services
Peter has been undertaking a strategic assessment of the Victorian health system, and examining the challenges facing healthcare in the coming decades. Prior to joining the department Peter spent nearly two decades as a management consultant and strategist, with McKinsey and Co, and a firm that he co-founded, Growth Solutions Group. His particular consulting expertise included infrastructure, energy, consumer marketing and public policy.
His 2004 review of Victoria’s PPP policy was made into a JFK School of Government case study, and debated at World Bank forums for over three years. |

Dr Michael Walsh
Chief Executive Officer, Cabrini Health
Michael has had a distinguished career in hospital and health administration in Western Australia, Victoria, the United Kingdom and Qatar. He was Director of Acute Health Services, DHS, Chief Executive, Bayside Health, Chief Executive, South East London Strategic Health Authority and Chief Executive, National Health Authority, Qatar.
He is a medical graduate of Monash University, holds the Degree of Master in Public Administration from the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Medical Administrators. He has a demonstrated commitment to improving quality in healthcare and brings a high level strategic approach to planning and delivering healthcare. |

Mr Andrew Bucknill
With expertise in hip and knee surgery as well as pelvic trauma, Andrew Bucknill, is Senior Consultant to the Orthopaedic Unit at the Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH). Andrew works full-time at the RMH and had driver their orthopaedic improvement plan; re-organising and developing the unit to improve quality of care and training. He is a senior lecturer at the University of Melbourne, is active in research and teaching and reviews scientific articles for the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery and is faculty on the internationally renowed AO courses for fracture management.
The Hon Rob Knowles AO
The Hon Rob Knowles AO is currently Chair of the Mental Health Council of Australia. Mr Knowles is a consultant /adviser in the health sector and has a very high level of expertise in the field of public administration, having been a senior Minister in the Victorian Government for seven years including Minister for Health.
Dr Brendan Murphy
Dr Brendan Murphy commenced as CEO of Austin Health in January 2005. He held previous posts as Chief Medical Officer, Director of Nephrology at St Vincent's Health. He is currently Chair of the Health Service Management Innovation Council and a Board Member of the Florey Neuroscience Institute. He is a Professorial Fellow with the title of Professor at Melbourne University, a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Physicians and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
