Injury Prevention
The Victorian Injury Prevention Program works towards developing strategies at State and National levels, to reduce the incidence of injury in the Australian population.
The Victorian Injury Prevention Program is located within the Public Health Group, Rural & Regional Health and Aged Care Services Division of the Department of Human Services. The program engages in a diverse range of activities including the provision of policy advice, the development of strategies, funding of various programs and projects, research support, stakeholder liaison, monitoring and evaluation.
The program has links with an extensive range of stakeholders and adopts a collaborative approach in the development and implementation of injury prevention initiatives.
