The oral RotTeq vaccine cut-off dates provide a quick reference guide to assist in ensuring the oral RotaTeq vaccine is administered within the recommended time frame as follows:
Do NOT administer dose one after the end of the 12th week of age.
If a baby has not had dose one of RotaTeq® by the end of the 12th week of age, do not give ANY dose of RotaTeq® as there is no safety data for commencing vaccination after this cut-off age.
Check that baby has had dose one of RotaTeq®. If dose one has NOT been given, do not give doses two or three.
To complete the 3 dose schedule, dose 2 should be given by the end of the 28th week of age as there is a minimum interval of 4 weeks between doses.
If the child is overdue, dose 2 can be given up to the end of the 32nd week of age, but the child will not be eligible for dose 3.
Do NOT administer dose 3 after the end of the 32nd week of age.
Check that baby has had dose 1 of RotaTeq®, and that dose 2 was given at least 4 weeks ago.
