Something borrowed, something new: Addressing increased rates of HIV and STI transmission among gay men in Victoria Action plan 2008 - 2010
This action plan provides a framework for addressing increased rates of HIV and STI transmission among gay men in Victoria. It uses epidemiological and behavioural and other data to develop an integrated policy, program and service response that relies on a renewal of the partnership between government, gay and lesbian community and professional organisations, and the health and academic sectors.
The action plan places the development of gay men’s HIV and STI prevention in the context of a gay men’s health and wellbeing promotion strategy. In turn, this strategy is informed by and contributes to the government’s social policy and human rights objectives by promoting sexual diversity, equality and social justice.
