Health Services Review Council AppointmentsPage contents: General information | Download documents | Further information Expressions of Interest for the 2009 annual appointment round to the Health Services Review Council (“the Council”) will be advertised on 4, 8 and 11 July 2009. Applications close at 4pm on Friday 17 July 2009. Late applications will not be accepted. General InformationSuitably qualified and experienced persons are routinely appointed to positions as members of the Council. Those interested must have a commitment to excellence in public health care and the skills and expertise to make a significant contribution to the governance of a complex major public health care organisation. The functions of the Council are:
The Council is established under the Health Services (Conciliation and Review) Act 1987 (“the Act”). It is constituted under section 12 of the Act, which provides for 11 Council members appointed by the Minister. The Act provides for members of the Council to hold office for 3 years from the date of appointment. Existing members are eligible for reappointment. The positions currently being advertised will be appointed from the date specified in the Instrument of Appointment. Remuneration will be paid at rates determined by the Governor in Council.
