Purpose: To advise hospitals of the outpatient charges, PBS co-payments and Safety Net thresholds for 2005.
Public Hospital Service Prices - Changes
DVA Patients -
- As part of recent contract negotiations the Department of Veterans’ Affairs DVA, DHS has recently re-negotiated a revised price for Rehabilitation in the Home (RITH) in 2004-05.
- This revised price is reflective of the methodology for calculating Hospital in the Home (HITH) payments and reflects the less resource intensive nature of providing the service to clients in a home based setting.
- This revised price of $453 will take effect with respect to every DVA admission for RITH that occurs on or after 1 January 2005.
