New content on Clinicians Health Channel

New content has been added to the Department of Health and Human Services’ Clinicians Health Channel website – after consultation with the health sector.
As part of the content refresh the new resources are:

•      Paediatric Injectable Guidelines – developed by the Royal Children’s Hospital;

•      BMJ Comorbidities to assist clinicians when patients present with an acute condition and have pre-existing comorbidities;

•      Palliative Care Formulary for healthcare professionals in palliative and hospice care;

•      Renal Drug Database for the pharmaceutical care of renally-impaired patients;

•      Adverse Drug Reactions (ADR) checker to provide information on more than 1,600 drugs to help health care professionals prevent, treat and educate patients.

There are also 5,000 eTG mobile tokens available for clinicians to access therapeutic guidelines using an app that can be installed on their devices.

The Clinicians Health Channel provides a library of resources to all staff working in majority-funded Victorian public hospitals and community health services.

It enables access to high-quality national and international medical databases and journals as well as point-of-care drugs and poisons information.

The new resources are part of funding for the Clinicians Health Channel website this year.
