New service for Romsey

A new campus for Cobaw Community Health Services will be established in Romsey thanks to a $733,000 Government funding boost.

Minister for Health David Davis said Cobaw Community Health Services was among 37 health services to share in $20 million of grants from the fourth round of the Rural Capital Support Fund.

The new campus will be established on the site of the old Lancefield Romsey Community Bank building, which is currently under development.

It will meet growing demand for services in the Shire of Macedon Ranges and enable residents to access important services closer to home.

This will boost access to child, aged and disability services, alcohol and drug treatment, counselling, allied health and family services, as well as early intervention and chronic disease management programs.

The new campus will feature a reception area, waiting area, lift, consulting areas, offices, meeting room, work stations and staff amenities areas.
