One stop shop for Melton health needs

Melton families can now access world-class community health, mental health and family services under one roof.

Minister for Health Jenny Mikakos opened the cutting-edge $21 million health hub that offers a one-stop shop for Melton families’ health needs.

The new facility is home to services offered by Djerriwarrh Health Services, Melbourne Health-Midwest Area Mental Health Service, MacKillop Family Services, cohealth and Odyssey House Victoria.

A one-stop shop means families can access women’s and children’s health services and family services.

Aboriginal health services, chronic disease intervention and prevention and mental health, drug and alcohol support are also available.

The facility features consulting rooms, group rooms, a gym, training and assessment kitchen, staff areas and a mental health tribunal room.

‘The Melton Health Hub is a one-stop shop to give the growing community better access to the health services that everybody needs, all under the one roof,’ Ms Mikakos said.

‘We know that time-poor families need convenience when it comes to looking after the health – and that’s exactly what this hub offers.’
