Call for senior award nominations

Minister for Ageing David Davis has called on Victorians to nominate inspirational older people who make a real difference for a 2013 Victorian Senior of the Year Award.

‘These awards promote the remarkable achievements of senior Victorians and highlight the benefits of ageing well and keeping active, healthy and involved in the community.’

The Victorian Senior of the Year Awards are presented by the Victorian Government in partnership with the Council on the Ageing (COTA) Victoria.

There are five award categories:

Veteran Community Award for an exceptional contribution to the veteran community.

The 2013 awards will be presented during a reception at Government House on October 3, a highlight of the 31st Victorian Seniors Festival.
