Victorian population health survey

About the survey

The Victorian Population Health Survey program was established in 1998 to provide State and regional information about the health of Victorians and determinants of that health. The survey followed an established method to collect relevant, timely and valid health information to be applied to policy development and strategic planning.

Interviews were conducted in the major non-English languages in Victoria to ensure people of culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds were represented.

Victorian Population Health Survey for people with an intellectual disability 2009 (VPHS-ID)
The VPHS-ID will gather data between July - October 2009 to compare the health and wellbeing of people with an intellectual disability with the health and wellbeing of the general Victorian population. The survey will provide high quality and important evidence which will help to raise awareness about the health status of people with an Intellectual Disability.
