Publications - The health of young Victorians: October 1998

Introduction

The report gives an extensive summary of Victorian data in the context of the 1992 Health Goals and Targets for Australian Children and Youth - creating a benchmark against national standards. The Health of Young Australians and the National Heath Plan for Young Australians, require States to make a commitment to improving the health of their young people and to regularly report on this changing health status. This report gives a framework to ensure Victoria is well placed to meet these objectives. In addition, this report will be a valuable resource for health workers and should be considered with current and future health promotion policies.
