The Human Resource Management Systems (HRMS) project established a common approach to the information and community technology (ICT) systems that support the management of human resources across the Victorian public health sector.

Payroll

Frontier’s Chris21 is a common solution for health services to manage their payroll and human resource requirements. 50,000 staff across the healthcare sector are now being paid through this system.

  • Southern Health
  • Royal Women’s Hospital
  • Royal Children's Hospital
  • South Western Alliance of Rural Health

  • Staff spend less time on general administrative tasks allowing them more time to spend with patients.
  • Award interpretation
  • Eliminates the need to manually process timesheets.

Rostering

Kronos is a rostering solution assisting agencies create and maintain rosters electronically.

Kronos is live at:

  • Austin Health
  • Gippsland Health Alliance
  • Southern Health

Key Benefit:

  • Reduces the need for unplanned overtime and reliance on contract staff and enables those on duty to provide better, more attentive care by:
    • identifying vacant shifts, and
    • coordinating rosters across departments.
