Human Resource Management System Product Planning Group
The Human Resource Management System Product Planning Group (HRMS PPG) was established in November 2008 to plan, regulate and control the state-wide design for the HealthSMART HRMS solution.
The two products selected for the HRMS solution were Chris21 to provide the Payroll and Human Resource functionality and Kronos for the Rostering solution. The HRMS PPG is responsible for ensuring that the HRMS state-wide footprint solution is maintained and managed for effective and strategic use by the Victorian public heath sector.
Three operational groups have also been established, reporting to the HRMS PPG, to provide detailed product analysis and recommendations on the configuration and use of the products. These three groups are the Payroll Operational Group, Rostering Operational Group and Human Resources Operational Group.
The HRMS PPG consists of senior HR representatives and is chaired by Fiona Prestedge, Executive Director Human Resources, Southern Health. The HRMS PPG meets on a monthly basis and reports through its Chair to the HealthSMART Services Council.

Finance and Materials Management Information Systems Product Planning Group
The Finance and Materials Management Information Systems Product Planning Group (HRMS PPG) was established to oversee the strategic development of FMIS inline with emerging business needs of Victorian health services.
Two operational groups have also been established, reporting to the FMIS PPG, to provide detailed product analysis and recommendations on the configuration and use of the products. These groups are the Accounting User Group and the Supply User Group.
The FMIS PPG consists of senior financial officers from across the Victorian public health sector and is chaired by Tim Hogan, Chief Financial Officer, Western Health. The FMIS PPG meets on a monthly basis and reports through its Chair to the HealthSMART Services Council.
