Governance
The PCMS Steering Committee was disbanded on 30 June 2010 following the completion of the initial implementation phase of the P&CMS project. Strategic development of the PCMS and CMS products is overseen by two product planning groups, the PCMS PPG and the CMS PPG.
The PPGs meet monthly and have responsibility for the strategic development of the products to ensure that they are line with the emerging business needs of the Victorian public health sector.
Membership comprises of senior health services personnel. The PCMS and CMS PPGs ensure that all decisions are made for the Victorian public healthcare sector, by the Victorian public healthcare sector. Operational groups, comprised of health agency subject matter experts support the PPGs.
The PPGs report to the HealthSMART Services Council, with the PPG’s Chair sitting ex officio as a member of the Council. The Council reports to the Board of Health Information Systems.
