Governance

Many benchmarks and reviews are conducted to ensure that HealthSMART Services is well positioned to meet its obligations. The use of CA Clarity software in conjunction with Prince2 methodology supports project planning, issue and risk management and status reporting. HealthSMART Services is governed by the HealthSMART Service Management Committee and the HealthSMART Services Council. Both these governance bodies have agency representation and feed into the Office of Health Information Systems Board. The Committee focuses on operational matters whereas the Council assumes a more strategic approach. The Services Agreements reflect HealthSMART Services’ governance principles with an emphasis on reporting and monitoring.
