Settings & environmentsHealth promotion can take place in a number of environments and setting. Partnerships and individual agencies are well placed to play a strong advocacy role in activities that support adherence to and enforcement of regulations and laws; or improve health and social conditions for particular groups (for example, women’s health or refugee advocacy). The Department of Human Services funds health promotion activities to take place through a range of environments and settings. These environments and settings include: Hospitals
Schools - School nursing Program The School Nursing Program in Victoria consists of a Secondary School Program and a Primary School Program. Where it is possible nurses in both programs work together to conduct health promotion or health education sessions for students in preparation for transition from Primary to Secondary School.
