The finalists in the 2006 Victorian Public Healthcare Awards gathered in
Melbourne on 5 October 2006 to celebrate their achievements and find out if they
would walk away with one of the coveted awards.
From a field of more than 260 entries, 54 initiatives, individuals, teams
and organisations made it to the shortlist and 17 won awards.
The judges were enthusiastic in their praise for this year's entrants, noting
that it was a competitive field and many deserving initiatives missed out
on a finals place.
