DHS ICD-10-AM/ACHI and VEMD Library Files for 2009-10

Downloadable ICD-10-AM/ACHI Library Files

The ICD-10-AM/ACHI and VEMD Library Files 2009-10 for Sixth Edition, effective for all separations and emergency presentations on or after 1 July 2009 is available for downloading. The ICD-10-AM/ACHI library file contains all ICD-10-AM Sixth Edition diagnosis, morphology and ACHI procedure codes, together with appropriate edits, mappings and code descriptions.

Software suppliers and Victorian hospitals are advised to download the new version of the ICD-10-AM/ACHI Library File.

The ICD-10-AM/ACHI (2.3 MB) and VEMD (473KB) Library Files are zipped Excel files and has been password protected utilising the same password as last year. If you do not have, or have forgotten the password, please contact the HDSS Helpdesk via email (HDSS.HelpDesk@dhs.vic.gov.au) and we will forward the password to you.

The licensing agreement only permits DHS to release our Library Files within Victoria to hospitals and software vendors and approved third party organisations working with DHS.

The Victorian Library File is a modification of the National ICD-10-AM/ACHI ASCII files, which are produced by the National Centre for Classification in Health (NCCH). National ICD-10-AM/ACHI ASCII files can be obtained by contacting the NCCH on 02 9351 9461 or email: ncchadmin@fhs.usyd.edu.au.

A separate file containing procedure block numbers with their short and full descriptions is also available for downloading if required.
