Information about Health Data Standards & Systems
(HDSS) used in Victoria's Hospitals |
|
ICD Coding & PICQPerformance Indicators for Coding Quality (PICQ)The Department of Human Services (DHS) is pleased to announce that PICQ 2008 is now available. A new Statewide licence has been negotiated with the National Centre for Classification in Health for Victorian public and private hospitals, with the cost being met by the Health Data Standards and Systems unit. Because the Department can accept licence conditions on behalf of public hospitals, but cannot accept the conditions on behalf of private hospitals, the method by which a hospital obtains the password has to differ between the two hospital types. Please follow the method appropriate for your hospital. Under the terms of the arrangement with NCCH, PICQ 2008 can only be obtained from the HDSS Unit web site with the appropriate password.
The NCCH will not respond to any queries or provide further follow up unless the terms and conditions of the PICQ Software have been agreed to. The terms and conditions are specified on the PICQ Software Application Form (see link on the Apply for PICQ Software and Download page). This form must be completed and provided to DHS to obtain a password to download the software. |
