Health Information Workforce Strategy News

The implementation of the Health Information Workforce Strategic Framework’s recommended actions (Phase Two) will be ongoing, from 2011 until mid 2013.

Phase Two includes the following elements:

• Stakeholder engagement
• Establishment of an Industry Advisory Group
• Development of Clinical Coding Alumni Strategy
• Review training packages
• Workforce sustainability
• Technology innovations.

Request for Quotation

The Health Information Workforce Strategy Project Team is currently preparing a Request for Quotation (RFQ) document for the ‘Development of the Clinical Coding Capability Framework - Clinical coding skill set verification and resource development’, for release to select tenderers. In order to register interest in the RFQ document, potential tenderers must email Josephine Beer by Wednesday 16 November 2011 to advise of their interest and capabilities, along with their email contact details.
