Health Information Workforce Strategy Home - Clinical Coding & Health Information ManagementWhat is the Strategy? Victoria has undertaken to develop a Health Information Workforce Strategy to provide strategic direction in order to address current health information workforce (HIW) shortages, to lessen the impact of future national reform on the HIW, and to meet future demands for a skilled and appropriate mix of HIW. To address the issue of a skilled future health information workforce, a Health Information Workforce Strategic Framework was developed for Phase One of the Strategy project by the Health Information Workforce Working Group. The Strategic Framework was endorsed by the Department of Health, in early 2011. The Strategic Framework includes initiatives aimed at:
