Food Safety Supervisor Requirement Research
In May 2001 the Victoria Food Act (1984) was amended. The amendments required every Victorian food business to nominate someone to be their food safety supervisor (FSS) when they submit their Food Safety Program. As well, the Australian New Zealand Food Safety Standards require every food business to make sure that their food handlers have the skills and knowledge of food safety and hygiene for the work they do. This requirement came into effect on 24 February 2002.
