Food Safety Unit Strategic Directions 2004 - 2007The Food Safety Unit has over the past few years been focused on developing and implementing food safety legislative and regulatory reforms, and is now implementing activities that enhance the unit’s role in identifying emerging food safety issues, increasing the capacity of key stakeholders to deliver services, and increasing consumer awareness of food safety issues. Four key strategic directions for the unit are:
