Overview

The purpose of this document is to provide guidance about applying to the DH HREC for ethical review. The document contains an overview of the distinction between research and audit/quality improvement, a list of the criteria for referral of research to this Committee and a summary of Commonwealth and State legislation relating to privacy issues. The document also describes the working procedures and documentation requirements that the Committee has adopted in order to comply with its role, as defined by the National Statement.
