Donating food to emergency servicesIndividuals who wish to donate food to emergency services, such as fire fighters during bush fires and other natural disasters, should only donate food that cannot cause food poisoning. Foods requiring refrigeration are not suitable for donation. It is vital that emergency workers remain healthy and therefore risks cannot be taken with food that is provided for them to eat while they are attending to emergency situations. The Emergency Service will decide what donated food they will accept.
Drinking water qualityEmergencies such as bushfires sometimes impact on drinking water supply or quality. In all cases, further information can be obtained from the relevant water authority. Download documents
