Women's alcohol & drug service

Service providing ante-natal and post natal support, inpatient methadone program, training and education.

The multi-disciplinary staff team includes a:

  • Dietician
  • Pharmacist
  • Obstetrician
  • Paediatrician
  • Midwives
  • Social workers
  • Education and research staff

Target group

The Women's ADS is a voluntary service for pregnant women with ongoing drug and alcohol issues. Referral to the Unit is through GP, or health provider, or by self-referral. They can also accept referrals for women on court orders and drug diversion programs, and can be contacted by phoning 9344 3631.
