Introduction

The protocol between Drug Treatment Services and Child Protection for working with parents with alcohol and other drug issues deals with common case scenarios and practice issues, such as confidentiality and sharing of information, different styles of case management, and disputes and complaints between the Child Protection and the Drug Treatment Service Systems. It is the intention of this protocol to develop stronger collaborative service delivery to clients, leading to better outcomes for children and their families.
