Evaluation of the youth alcohol & drug outreach servicesPage content: Contents | Download document As part of the Victorian Government's Turning the Tide Strategy Against Drug Abuse, a major initiative has been the funding of new services for young people up to the age of 21 years with alcohol and drug problems. In June 1997 youth alcohol and drug outreach services were funded across the nine Human Services' Regions in Victoria. Youth alcohol and drug outreach services provide assessment, support and ongoing case coordination to young people in their own environment utilising flexible treatment options. Working closely with other generalist services, they seek to minimise the harms caused by the young person's misuse of alcohol and drugs.
