Overview

The Victorian Government is committed to preventing and reducing harms caused by amphetamine-type substance use in the community. To this end a Taskforce has been established, Chaired by the Minister for Mental Health, the Hon Lisa Neville MP, and comprising leading experts from drugs, mental health and emergency services, to oversee the development of a Victorian Amphetamine-Type Stimulants (ATS) And Related Drugs Strategy.

The Taskforce prepared an ATS discussion paper to inform the community of the patterns of use of these drugs, and how to best respond to prevent and reduce the harms related to these drugs.

Submissions for comment on the ATS discussion paper closed on Friday 16 November 2007. However, if you have any queries or would like to make a comment relating to the discussion paper on amphetamine-type substances, please contact Dr Jeff Rich, Manager, Alcohol and Illicit Drugs Policy, Department of Human Services on 9096 5275.
