Bushfire Psychosocial Recovery is a key area of the emergency recovery arrangements following the February 2009 bushfires. The unit is responsible for ensuring a multi-level multi-system approach to psychosocial recovery via coordination and collaboration between governments and sectors. A key priority is to ensure that the most effective investments are in place to enhance psychosocial recovery, build community resilience and treat psychological distress.
