Our Divisions
The Department of Health comprises five divisions sharing the department's responsibilities for developing strategic priorities, implementing policy, and funding and monitoring service delivery, in the areas of health, mental health and aged care.

Finance and Corporate Services
The Finance and Corporate Services Division provides timely and reliable delivery of financial, information technology, industrial relations and employee relations services to the department and the portfolio sector through innovative, practical and responsible solutions that drive improved organisational performance.
Hospital and Health Service Performance
The Hospital and Health Service Performance Division is primarily responsible for, hospital and health service governance, performance, and reporting; funding, funding policy models and funding systems; state-wide health system planning, design and the provision of enabling infrastructure; reform and innovation; acute service, ambulance and emergency program delivery; and improving system wide quality, safety and patient experience.

Wellbeing, Integrated Care and Ageing
The Wellbeing, Integrated Care and Ageing division is responsible for prevention, chronic disease and integration of care, health management and aged care services. It is also responsible for workforce policy and planning in the health and aged care sector, as well as the department's internal human resources function.
Mental Health, Drugs and Regions
The Mental Health, Drugs and Regions division is responsible for the integrated approach to mental health and drugs service planning and delivery across Victoria. The division is also responsible for regional coordination and operational support.

Strategy and Policy
The Strategy and Policy division is responsible for improving the Victorian health system through policy reform, strategy development and regulatory activities. The division is also responsible for a set of corporate functions including ERC, legal services, inter-government relations, management of shared service arrangements and communications.
