Dental workforce project

The Dental Workforce Project was established by the Department of Human Services in response to the increasing shortage of dental health professionals in the public sector. It is providing an urgent and coordinated response to the increasing shortage of dentists and dental auxiliaries in the public sector in Victoria, particularly in rural areas, as well as a predicted shortfall of 20 percent in public and private dental service providers by the year 2010.
