ScholarshipsThere are two types of scholarships available to undergraduate students that are funded by the Department of Human Services. A number of rural scholarships for 4th and 5th year dental science students the University of Melbourne are available each year. These scholarships, valued at $7,000 per year, are available for one or two years, and require the recipient to complete one or two years full-time employment in the public sector in a rural location upon graduation. Ten scholarships will be available to students commencing the Bachelor of Oral Health Science degree at the Bendigo campus of La Trobe University. The scholarships cover the student contribution for the entire course. Scholarships will also be available to students commencing the Bachelor of Oral Health degree at the University of Melbourne.
